A recent clinical study demonstrated that aromatherapy massage or inhalation of a blend containing lavender, sweet orange, and bergamot (2:1:1 ratio) reduced depressive symptoms in older adults.The massage group received a twice-weekly thirty-minute massage with 1 drop of the blend in 5mL of sweet almond oil. The inhalation group inhaled 1 drop of the blend in 10mL of water twice-weekly for 30 minutes.
